From the Director’s Desk: A Message About Summer 2010 Programs with the Waterville Valley Recreation Department

The countdown is on for the start of summer programs! We’ve been planning & preparing for a great summer and are looking forward to seeing all of those familiar faces again!! New changes to this years summer program include, SUMMIT, a camp day for ages 13-14, and new fresh field trips and weekly outings for PEAK & SUMMIT groups. Additionally a Movie in the Park night has joined the list of our Community Special Events. The School and Recreation Department facility and grounds will be undergoing a summer long construction project, which means we will be packing our bags for the summer. The move will bring us to the north side of town where we will be making the Waterville Valley Academy (adjacent Snow’s Mtn.) home for summer 2010. Although we are packing up for summer, we won’t be boxing up any of our programs! You can still count on all the great programs you love including, Summer Day Camp, Ice Cream Social, Family BINGO, Friday Night Fires, Dodge ball, Fishing, Golf and Archery Clinics, Kids Night Out, Adult Fitness, Hikes, Nature walks and the list goes on!

After Memorial Day Weekend we will begin to move and hope to be settled in by June 14th which is just in time for the arrival of our summer team and the kick off programs.
