Black Fly Tri 2010: Through the Athletes Eyes

Congratulations to Corey, Kyle & Chris Hodges (Director of Public Safety) on your successful completion of this year’s Tri!

Over this past weekend, the up and coming Black Fly Triathlon was a major success here in Waterville Valley. Racers came from every which direction including right here in the Waterville-Thornton Area. Two of these people happen to be WVRD staff members. Our own Corey Cameron and Kyle Hodges successfully completed the second annual Black Fly Tri. 

The Black Fly Tri was an epic test of endurance, although I could not pull off the win in the Hodges family rivalry between my father and I. This is the last year that will be happening, next year he will be on the losing end. The Black Fly Tri is one of the most scenic triathlons in all of New England. The hosting organization, Endorfun Sports did a superb job making it a safe and enjoyable time for everyone. I know everyone associated with the events this past weekend was delighted with all the enjoyable events and festivities. The Black Fly Triathlon will be one of the premier triathlons in all of New England in years to come.
