Fall Foliage Foot Race 5k Starting Line

We hosted our annual 'Fall Foliage Foot Race' 1.6k fun run & 5k foot race to benefit 'Communities for Alcohol- & Drug-Free Youth (CADY)' Plymouth, NH during Columbus Day Weekend.  With the support of our participants & event sponsors, we were able to raise $340 in support of their LAUNCH Youth Entrepreneurship Program.

Big 'Thumbs Up' for a great season at Corcoran Pond Waterfront

Columbus Day Weekend also marked the season finale of Recreation Department programming at the Corcoran Pond Waterfront.  Our rental boat fleet, picnic tables and beach volleyball have been packed-up and relocated off-site to winter storage.  Thanks to everyone for an incredible 2012 season ~ we'll catch you again on Memorial Day Weekend for the 2013 season opener!

HAUNTED HALLOWEEN HAPPENINGS

Haunted Halloween Happenings, Friday & Saturday, October 26 & 27, 2012

Join us at the Rec on Friday, October 26 for our annual 'Jack-O-Lantern Carving & Pizza Party', 6 pm - 7:30 pm.  Bring your friends & family (& pumpkin, if you'd like) and we'll provide the space, carving tools and snacks for a spooky good time.  Please pre-register with us, especially if you will need to purchase a pumpkin from the Recreation Department, as our pumpkin supply is limited.

On Saturday, October 27, join us for our annual 'Trick-or-Treating' event, including a ghoulishly-good 'Mad Science Spooktacular' presentation, followed by costume contest in the gymnasium, then our (un)traditional Schuss bus trick-or-treating.  Don't forget to stop by the Rey Center on Saturday evening to see if you have what it takes to brave the haunted gallery.

Well, summer has ended & we have been busy finalizing the last of our fall 2012 programming.  Daily, General Programs, including After School Antics, begin on Monday, September 24, 2012; click on the image above to be directed to our website for a PDF copy.

The Recreation Department will be open 9 am - 5 pm, Monday thru Saturday, during the fall season.  Please note:  We are closed on Sundays during this time of year, excluding holiday & vacation periods.  For detailed info, especially during holiday & vacation periods, please pick-up a copy of the Resort Insider.

After School Antics begins on Monday, September 24, 2012

After School Antics begins on Monday, September 24, 2012.  The program is offered weekdays, when the Waterville Valley Elementary School is in full-day session.  For our WVES families:  please refer to the informational flyer & registration form sent home in Friday folders the first week of school; we ask that an updated, completed 2012 - 2013 School Year registration form be completed & on-file with us prior to your child(ren) attending After School.  If you need additional info, please find the documentation on our website.  We look forward to seeing all our kiddos during the first week of After School.

Fall Foliage Foot Race at Waterville Valley Resort, benefiting 'Communities for Alcohol- & Drug-Free Youth (CADY)'

Join us on Sunday, Columbus Day Weekend, for our annual 1.6k fun run & 5k foot race.  This year's beneficiary is 'Communities for Alcohol- & Drug-Free Youth (CADY), Plymouth, NH'.  This annual event is a great, healthy way to enjoy the long, holiday weekend & show support for a local, community organization.  We are always looking for sponsorships (to help defray costs & allow us to donate more of the proceeds to our beneficiary) & race-day volunteers; if you're interested in helping out, please give us a call!  Pre-registration ends on October 1st ~ COMPLIMENTARY EVENT T-SHIRT FOR FIRST 100 REGISTRANTS.

Haunted Halloween Happenings 2012

This year's Haunted Halloween Happenings are schedule for Friday & Saturday, October 26 & 27th, 2012.  New this year:  We've done away with our haunted hunt & games of years past, to welcome a Spooktacular, Mad Science performance, here at the Recreation Department ~ it's bound to be a devilsih-good time!  For all the details, visit our website!
